More Stupider (John Rovi)
I love anything Lyle Hill writes because of his tongue-in-cheek humor while still trying to tackle a serious topic. In the latest issue of USGlass Magazine, his article “More Stupider” he talked about communication, or the lack thereof, which made me laugh. It also reminded me of the challenges of raising our kids during the beginning of the texting craze.
In the beginning, Lyle started to talk about the poor communication skills many “Youts” (aka Youths) have from communicating via texting. So now, I’d like to try to defend the younger generations with their ability to communicate. It’s not their fault they are Gen-X’s, or Gen-Y’s, they di-ent (aka didn’t) ask for the texting technology boom. OFC (aka Of Course), to understand the younger generations is to know what they mean with what they are communicating.
NVM (aka Never mind) that we “boomers” had a language of our own. IKR (aka I know right), but one of the most impor-ent (aka Important) factors is knowing the difference between slang words. Some people get LOL (aka Laugh out loud) mixed up with LOL (aka Lots of Love) and forget most of us really don’t understand which one to use and when to use it. Sometimes it can have us ROFL (aka Rolling on floor laughing), or PIP (aka Peeing in pants Laughing hard).
I know, I know, TMI (aka To much information) but either way be careful, because you don’t want to have your younger employees SMH (aka Shaking my head) in discuss.
I hope you enjoyed this educational article, so please LMK (aka Let me know) if it is valuable, or if it just leaves you LMFAO (aka Laughing my freaking a– off), or you may want to Ghost (aka cut off communication) me now, or Cancel (aka Cancel) me. Because YOLO (aka You only live once), so you should learn as much about other people as you can.
Thanks Lyle, but I’m not sure this blog is More Stupider than any other I wrote!
